Understanding Arizona's Paid Sick Time Law

Do you know that an Arizona employer with only one part-time employee is covered by the state's mandatory paid sick time law? Arizona's Fair Wages & Healthy Families Act regulates minimum wage and paid sick time. Participants will learn the many requirements of the law, options for a compliant paid sick time or paid time off policy, and penalties for violations.

The most violated laws by employers are wage payment and worker classification laws, which have steep penalties for non-compliance. This webinar will go through basic wage laws, exempt/non-exempt issues, independent contractor rules, overtime rate calculations, and more. Business owners, managers and those involved in paying employees are encouraged to attend.
