Join us as we bury the Yavapai County Time Capsule!
Join us for a special community event as Yavapai County creates a lasting message for future generations.
On July 3, immediately following the annual Kiddie Parade, the Yavapai County Free Library District will host the official burial of the county time capsule. The ceremony begins at 11:30 AM at the historic Prescott Courthouse Square, on the corner of Goodwin and Cortez Streets. Community members are invited to attend and witness the historic moment the capsule is sealed and buried.
This time capsule will remained sealed for 50 years and is scheduled to be opened in 2076 as a part of the Unites States Tercentennial celebration. Please mark your calendars and join us to celebrate this bridge between Yavapai County’s present and its future.
