YAVAPAI COUNTY, Arizona. – The Beaver Creek Public Library is delighted to announce that passport acceptance services are now available right here in the community! Whether you need a new passport, to renew one that's been expired for more than 15 years, or to apply for a youth passport, you can do it all at the library.
To get started, just complete the necessary forms and bring proof of citizenship and identity. For minors, both parents or one parent (depending on age) must be present. You'll also need a passport photo and payment for the U.S. Department of State fees by check or money order. The library charges a facility fee of $35, and additional fees apply for photocopying and passport photos if needed.
"The Library District is proud to continue expanding our service offerings to branches throughout Yavapai County," says Corey Christians, County Librarian and Director of the Yavapai County Free Library District, which includes Beaver Creek. "Now, along with getting a document notarized, receiving quality educational and entertaining programming, receiving assistance with navigating the Internet, and simply checking out a book in person or online; you can start the process of obtaining a passport without having to leave your community. Applying for a passport can be a daunting task, but we are here to make it easier and more convenient for our patrons. The success of this pilot program will pave the way for providing this service at more Library District branches throughout the County.”
